Smart People, Not The Movie

  • Me: (to parents at dinner) I'm not saying I'm smarter than you, I'm just saying that people your age are smarter than you.
  • Mom: Ha!
  • Dad: Oh yeah?
  • Me: You didn't know how gravity worked!
  • Dad: Well, do you read?
  • Me: Umm. Yes?
  • Dad: What have you read?
  • Me: I--
  • Dad: No, classics. What classics have you read?
  • Me: Do you want me to make you a list?
  • Dad: Name one.
  • Me: Well--
  • Dad: One that I've heard of.
  • Me: One Hundred Years of Solitude?
  • Dad: Who wrote that?
  • Me: Marquez...
  • Dad: I've never heard of it. NOW who's the dumb one?
  • Me: ...
  • Mom: Umm...
  • Me: This is going on the internet!
