Jim Reardon earned an Academy Award nomination this morning for co-writing Wall*E. Here is a short that he directed while still in school, called Bring Me The Head of Charlie Brown. Several shots are directly lifted from Sam Peckinpah films, and it’s a clever little piece of work. It goes a little nuts at the end, and makes some pop culture references that make little sense today (it was made in 1986). More info can be found here.

This is both terrifying and hilarious.

Can this also get an Oscar, please?
